Updated: Sep 27, 2021
Hello, todays post is all about washi tape.
so, what is washi tape?
I get asked so many time, what is washi tape? so here is breif description of what washi is all about.
Washi is traditional Japanese paper. The word "washi" comes from Wa meaning 'Japanese' and shi meaning 'paper'. The term is used to describe paper that uses local fiber, processed by hand and made in the traditional manner. Washi is made using fibers from the inner bark of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub, or the paper mulberry bush. As a Japanese craft, it is registered as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.
It comes in a variety of sizes and can be printed in all kinds of patterns and designs.
It is perfect for journaling, back to school projects and general crafting.
The picture shown below features washi tape as the border of a journal page.

Thank you for reading, I hope this post was useful... happy Washi-ing
